Alix invited to England trial
Saffron Walden Town Bowling Club
Saffron Walden Town bowler, Alix Rouse, has been invited to the Bowls England Under 18 Youth Academy Selection event at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Sunday 23rd September. If successful, he will attend the England Youth Academy Weekend in May next year. Sixteen-year-old Alix was introduced to the game by his grandfather, Terry Quinn, a past president and long-serving life member of Saffron Walden Town Bowling Club, and has been playing since the age of nine. He is already a county bowler and represented Essex in this year's Eastern Counties League. Alix said, "I'm delighted to be invited to the trial and looking forward to playing against the best young bowlers in the country." The whole club wishes him good luck and success at Leamington Spa.
