Fifteen volunteers worked hard on a sunny September morning earlier this week to apply five tonnes of top dressing to the green at Saffron Walden Bowling Club. Scarifying had already taken place and grass seed sown before the top dressing was spread across the surface under the guidance of advisor Vic Purse and greenkeeper Cliff Goodwin. Thank you to all the volunteers who are a fine example of the spirit within the club, we will see the fruits of your labour next season.
