The Saffron Walden Bowling Club A team suffered the same fate as in the previous week’s North West Essex league fixture. Despite arch rivals Radwinter surprisingly finding themselves below the Town side in the league, they claimed the match win on aggregate score with the rinks being evenly split. A second week with only three points scored seriously dents their chance of a late surge to the top. In the second division it was a similar story for the B team who have now suffered two of their four defeats to Radwinter who closed the gap on the Town to three points with their 6-2 win. The 46-44 scoreline reflects how close the contest was. Unfortunately, the C team lost at leaders Stansted B but could still have an important part to play in the outcome of the third division.

The Essex and Herts Seniors team will be glad to get back on their home green this Tuesday after suffering another away defeat, this time on Thursday to Stansted. To cap a disappointing week for the Club, the Steeple Bumpstead League Friday side were beaten by league leaders Haverhill Reds but remain in third place.
