Saffron Walden Town Bowling Club was host to the annual match between ECBA Group 2 and Essex Vice-Presidents for the John Chapman Trophy last Thursday. John who is a life member of SWTBC and Past President of the VPs, presented the trophy after a close-fought game was won by just one shot by the VPs. Bowlers from all over Essex enjoyed a competitive afternoon played in sunny conditions.

You can get to Abbey Lane either at the traffic lights on the high street or from going down Gibson Way and turning left at the end. You enter a single lane part of the road and once you have passed the King Edward Almshouses on your right you will see a car park, also on your right, and then the clubhouse.
