As the halfway point in the season approaches, Saffron Walden Town Bowling Club's North West Essex League teams hold promising positions. The A team are currently leading the table in Division A with the newly promoted B team making an encouraging start. In Division C, the C team are mid-table with Captain Tony Capon choosing from a large squad of players.

You can get to Abbey Lane either at the traffic lights on the high street or from going down Gibson Way and turning left at the end. You enter a single lane part of the road and once you have passed the King Edward Almshouses on your right you will see a car park, also on your right, and then the clubhouse.
