Saffron Walden Town B team were delighted to win the North West Essex League Division B play-off against Tiptree Jobserve A team at Witham Bowls Club on Sunday. In a nail-biting finish with two of the three triples games completed and the scores tied, the title rested on the final end of the final game. Skip and B team Captain, Mike Harvey, and his rink kept their nerve to triumph by two shots. Congratulations to all players who have contributed to the success of the B team this season and good luck in Division A next year.

You can get to Abbey Lane either at the traffic lights on the high street or from going down Gibson Way and turning left at the end. You enter a single lane part of the road and once you have passed the King Edward Almshouses on your right you will see a car park, also on your right, and then the clubhouse.
